James V. Kosnett has practiced criminal law in California since 1976, bringing five decades of legal experience to individuals facing criminal charges and other serious legal consequences. He represents clients throughout Los Angeles and across California, handling matters in courts from San Diego to San Francisco.

A graduate of Yale University and the UCLA School of Law, James combines a strong academic foundation with extensive courtroom and appellate experience. He served as lead attorney in Barnes v. Molino, 103 Cal. App. 3d 46 (1980), a California Court of Appeal case concerning the Fifth Amendment privilege against self-incrimination and compliance with a subpoena for business records.

Throughout his career, James has been recognized for his legal knowledge and has appeared on television and radio. His work has also been featured in publications such as the Los Angeles Times and the Daily Journal. He is admitted to practice before all California state courts, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, and the U.S. Tax Court.
