Shannon Kennedy is an extremely talented attorney, and one of the best civil litigation attorneys across New Mexico. She is currently working with the Kennedy Law Firm and is also a founding partner of the firm. Her practice areas include civil rights and civil litigation. She deals with cases related to faulty criminal charges and protects the civil as well as constitutional rights of her clients.

Shannon graduated from the University of Oregon she received her law degree from the CUNY School of Law. During her time at the law school she worked for their interest law clinic and represented victims who wanted political asylum. Here she also represented decrepit immigrant women. After completing her law degree she started working with the Alaska Public Defender. During her time there she dealt many cases related to felony and misconduct. After working for over a year with them she was transferred to their New Mexico branch and here she started practicing criminal cases.

After some years, Shannon along with Joseph Kennedy founded the Kennedy Law Firm which, now after the addition of yet another partner, Laura Schauer Ives is called Kennedy Kennedy & Ives Law Firm.

Her 20-years experience makes Shannon almost matchless in her field and she is highly recommended by her peers to all those who need civil litigation. She is a member of the American Association for Justice, New Mexico Trial Lawyers Association and New Mexico Criminal Defense Lawyers’ Association. She was selected for Super Lawyers for the year 2008, 2010, 2012, 2014 – 2016.

She is an amazing woman with an aura of sobriety around her. Now days she is working for the protection of the rights of children and adults who have been a victim of sexual molestation and abuse. She also represents victims on behalf of whistle – blowing claims and claims of sexual molestation/abuse by police officers.
