Born in Baton Rouge and raised in St. Francisville, Taylor is a life-long Louisiana resident. He graduated from LSU with a business degree before going to LSU Law. After law school he clerked for the 20th Judicial District Court, where he was first exposed to real-life family law issues, not knowing at the time that family law would be his calling.

After clerking, Taylor moved to Lafayette and began practicing with some of the area’s largest and most respected personal injury firms. After a few years, and believing that he could serve clients in a more meaningful and impactful way, Taylor went out on his own and opened what is now known as Southern Oaks Law Firm.

After going through his own lengthy and highly contested custody case, Taylor decided to focus entirely on helping others dealing with family law issues. Now, Taylor and his firm are 100% committed to the practice of family law. That focus, combined with his personal and professional experience, puts him in a unique position to advise others going through the process. Having been a client himself, Taylor approaches each case with empathy and constantly strives to provide a more positive and impactful client experience.
